Manoscritto Voynich Watch Strap
The Voynich Manuscript originated in Central Europe in the 15th century and is still considered one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in cryptology.
246 fragile parchment pages, inscribed with 25–30 unknown characters, form a work full of riddles, symbolism, and history. To this day, the script has neither been fully deciphered nor definitively assigned to a known language.
Since 1969, the original manuscript has been kept in the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Yale University – protected from light, time, and access. There, it is considered one of the most mysterious objects in the entire collection.
For the Manoscritto Voynich series, we drew inspiration from precisely this mysterious handwriting. The characteristic symbols are subtly and permanently incorporated into the leather – understated, authentic, and timeless.
The base is made of exceptionally soft, genuine vintage cowhide leather. Crafted using classic True Vintage Folded techniques – without tubes, metal cores, or modern inlays. Exactly as historical watch straps were once made.
