The "La-Storia-1940-Band" is meticulously handcrafted using elaborate techniques, following historical models.
Due to its authentic character, we have folded the band using the True Vintage folding technique.
- The band is suitable for wrist sizes from 16cm to 20cm, as we have punched the first hole at 43mm from the lug.
- The distance between hole centers is only 7mm. We have punched a total of 7 oval holes.
- The band is compatible with all common OEM buckles available on the market.
We understand the importance of a comfortable and perfect fit between the watch case and the strap, and that's why we have solved various leather issues in product development to ensure a perfect fit.
Since lighting has a significant impact on actual color perception, we recommend viewing all product photos. We have tried to photograph the band under different lighting conditions to provide you with a comprehensive impression of its color.
The band comes without a buckle. A screw-in buckle in the appropriate width can be ordered separately as an accessory.
Width and Thickness
- The length is 130mm on the long side and 80mm on the short side.
- The band has a thickness of approximately 4mm to 5mm.
Holes
- We have punched the holes to fit an OEM buckle, and a loop has been sewn in place. This allows for a perfect fit on the wrist later on.

Manufacturing Process
- The band follows the classic manufacturing method of the original.
- Each individual stitch hole is hand-punched with an antique awl and double hand-sewn with waxed thread.
- The buckle and the first keeper sit in a loop.

Materials Used
- Soft and high-quality cowhide leather from a German tannery (Traditionally vegetable-tanned leather from Pirmasens).
- Tear-resistant and sturdy waxed thread made in Germany!
- Beeswax leather balm (resin and acid-free)
Tradition and Passion
- The band is made using historical folding and stitching techniques from the 1950s. Only antique tools, from the old awl to the antique leather knife and old leather planes, are used.
- Vintage appearances and signs of wear are achieved through hours of handwork by grinding and polishing. The leather is not painted with color afterwards, and no chemicals are used.
- Finally, the band is treated with seawater and leather grease.
