Winkel Militaris Underlay – designed for user comfort, protection and authentic look.
Winkel Militaris – Bund-Unterlage
The Winkel Militaris series was originally developed as a military and tactical watch strap. The solid backing reliably prevents direct contact between the watch case and the skin.
Both sides of the strap base are embossed with the series name and the Corrigia logo. For this series, we use a particularly soft, perfectly matching vintage leather from Italy.
The base can be removed at any time if needed. The bracelet can then be used fully even without the base.
Width & Strength
- Width and length are determined via the strap configurator.
- Recommendation: Order 5–10 mm longer on both sides than the standard length
- Reason: the 4–4.5 mm thick base increases the effective wrist circumference
- Document thickness: approx. 4.0–4.5 mm
- The tape thickness is determined manually depending on the selected width.
Band thicknesses according to width
- 24-28mm: approx. 4-5mm band thickness
- 21-23mm: approx. 3-4mm band thickness
- 18-20mm: approx. 2-3mm band thickness
Holes & Closure Option
- Without sewn-in clasp: Holes suitable for OEM clasps, one loop sewn securely in place.
- This later allows for a perfect fit with OEM closures.
- Number of holes: 5 holes for strap lengths up to 145 mm
- Number of holes: 6 holes for strap lengths of 145 mm and above.
Method of manufacture
- First keeper sewn on tight
- Second goalkeeper loosely led
- Each stitch hole is individually made by hand using an awl.
- Double hand stitching with waxed thread
